What this skill does
What it does: - Scores academic or scientific papers using a structured rubric with nine dimensions like research questions, literature review, methods, data quality, analysis, results, limitations, writing, and citations - Assigns scores from 1 to 5 for each dimension, where 5 means excellent and ready to publish, and 1 means major problems - Identifies critical issues that block acceptance and suggests specific revisions - Compares multiple papers using the same rubric to rank them When to use it: - You need to evaluate a research paper, proposal, thesis chapter, or literature review - You want to check if claims are supported by the sources cited - You need to assess whether the methods and research design are sound - You want to compare two or more papers to see which is higher quality - You need structured feedback to guide revisions before submitting work
