What it does: This skill helps create or edit images using an image generation model called GPT Image 2. It can work in three different ways depending on what tools are available. If it has its own image generation access set up, it creates and saves the images itself. If the surrounding app already has its own image tool, this skill instead writes a high quality, carefully crafted prompt and hands it to that tool. If neither is available, it simply writes the best possible prompt and gives it to the person to use in whatever image tool they prefer, being clear that no image was actually created. It comes with more than eighty ready made prompt templates covering things like posters, app screens, product photos, infographics, diagrams, comics, and profile pictures, organized by category so the right style can be found quickly. Prompts and any generated images are automatically saved to clearly named files with a timestamp so nothing gets overwritten by accident.
