What this skill does
What it does: - Opens up firmware files to see what is inside them - Finds different types of data packed together like compressed files, file systems, and programs - Figures out if the data is stored in big-endian or little-endian format - Uses tools to automatically unpack nested containers layer by layer - Checks for hidden data after the end of files When to use it: - When you have a firmware file from a device and need to see its contents - When you need to know what kind of processor the firmware is for - When you need to extract a file system or program from a firmware update package - When you are working with Internet of Things devices or embedded systems
