What it does:
- Takes a whole field or area of knowledge and finds the few basic forces or ideas that hold it up
- Strips away everything until only the truly independent pieces remain
- Tests whether those pieces can rebuild all the details you see
- Checks if the pieces are truly necessary and cannot be changed without breaking everything
When to use it:
- You want to know what really supports a whole field or system
- You need to find the irreducible basics behind many different facts
- You want to understand what would collapse if you removed just one piece
- You are trying to see the skeleton beneath all the surface details
