What this skill does
What it does: This skill helps you understand relationship problems by asking questions instead of giving advice. It looks at two types of problems: structural issues in how the relationship works (like power imbalance or unclear boundaries) and pattern issues where you repeat the same relationship mistakes with different people. The skill uses a five-layer framework to examine exchange of value, power balance, personal boundaries, relationship stage, and how you tell the story of the relationship. It also uses psychology methods to find unconscious patterns and emotional reactions you might not notice. When to use it: Use this skill when you want to understand why a relationship keeps having problems, not just how to fix one specific argument. It works for work relationships, friendships, family, or romantic relationships. You would use it when you notice the same conflict keeps happening, when you feel confused about why someone treats you a certain way, or when you want to see the deeper structure of what is going wrong. The skill is designed to help you see things about yourself and the relationship that you cannot see on your own.
