What this skill does
What it does: This skill helps you check if a company is a good investment using Warren Buffett's value investing method. It looks at six important areas: whether you understand the business, if it makes good profits, if it costs a fair price, if the company has strong advantages over competitors, if the management team is trustworthy, and if the business will still be strong in ten years. When to use it: Use this skill when you are thinking about buying stock in a company and want to make sure it is a smart choice. You give it one or more company names or stock codes, and it gathers information about their finances, profits, and business model. Then it checks each company against the six-step checklist to help you decide if it is worth investing in or if you should keep looking.
