What this skill does
What it does:
- Helps reverse engineer programs written in modern C++ by recovering class structures, virtual function tables, and exception handling information
- Decodes C++ symbol names that are scrambled in the compiled code
- Rebuilds the inheritance relationships between classes
When to use it:
- You are analyzing a C++ program and the decompiled code is confusing or incomplete
- You need to understand which functions are called through virtual tables
- You need to trace how exceptions are handled in the program
- Do not use this for C programs or pure assembly code
- Do not use this if the program is heavily obfuscated - handle obfuscation first
