- Rebuilds a timeline of when files were created, modified, and deleted
- Finds hidden or leftover data that was not completely erased
- Repairs damaged partition tables and recovers files from corrupted storage
When to use it:
- You have a disk image or storage device and need to find what was deleted from it
- You need to determine when files were written or changed
- You are investigating a security incident and need to find evidence on storage media
- A disk or partition is damaged and you need to recover files from it
