Figures out how custom network protocols work by analyzing their messages and patterns.
Installation
Paste this into Claude Code, Cursor, or any agent that can run commands.
What this skill does
What it does:
- Reads network traffic files to figure out what messages two programs send to each other
- Finds patterns in the messages like headers, message types, and length fields
- Builds a map of how the programs talk back and forth
When to use it:
- You have a recording of network traffic and need to understand what the messages mean
- You are studying a custom protocol that is not a standard like HTTP
- You want to know the order and format of messages in a conversation between a program and a server
- The traffic is not scrambled or encrypted
